Elvis was a big fan or horses and always kept several of them at Graceland, including his favorite, "Rising Sun." Horses are still present at Graceland today, more than 30 years after Elvis left us. These two horses were photographed in the pasture near the Meditation Garden during Elvis Week 2008.

Highway 51 Drive-In Display

My personal favorite, this display shows an old purple Cadillac sitting in front of a drive-in that is reminiscent of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Originally a Delta Airlines Convair 880, this plane was bought by Elvis in 1975 for $250,000 and christened the "Lisa Marie." It's nickname was "Hound Dog I," and its call sign was N880EP (with the "EP" of course standing for Elvis Presley).

Just behind the bushes in the clearning between these two houses is the Graceland back fence. Now much taller, the fence stood only five feet tall back in the day. To bypass scores of fans at Graceland's front gates, Elvis would scale the back fence and wait between these two houses for his buddies to pick him up.
